Jonathan Simmonds, MD – CEO & Founder
Jonathan Simmonds, an esteemed otolaryngologist and founder and CEO of Prosidio, started his impressive medical career with a Chemistry degree from Emory and an M.D. from Tufts University, where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He furthered his skills in otolaryngology at Tufts Medical Center and Harvard-Mass. Eye and Ear, under the mentorship of renowned sinus surgeon, Dr. Ralph Metson. As a physician-scientist, he has contributed significantly to sinus surgery and otolaryngology, earning multiple awards and maintaining an active practice in New York. His innovative leadership at Prosidio has garnered both personal accolades and company-wide recognition, including “Most Influential CEO 2023 – New York (Medical Equipment Manufacturing)” and “Top Endoscopy Solutions Company – 2023” respectively.
Maureen Winter – Chief Commercial Officer
Maureen’s 30 years of experience in ENT sales have afforded her significant exposure to the most renowned suppliers and clinicians in the industry. Maureen brings a unique perspective which first took shape during her time as a Head & Neck Surgery/Otolaryngology nurse, at which point she began cultivating her deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing otolaryngologists and their teams. Her career as a sales representative began at Gyrus ENT, and later she held leadership roles on the sales teams of Karl Storz and Cochlear. Subsequent positions saw her adeptly managing the mid-Atlantic sales team for Oticon and the East Coast sales team for Kurz, where she further showcased her ability to lead and inspire. At Prosidio, Maureen combines her medical expertise, sales acumen, leadership prowess, and strategic thinking to steer the company toward a successful future.
Kathy Tellyer – Comptroller
With her 30 years of experience, Kathy brings her expertise in finance, operations, production, and regulatory aspects to Prosidio. Having served in various senior management roles in the medical device and consumer products industries, she handles everything from finance to human resources at Prosidio. Her experience spans from the inception of companies to their acquisition or initial public offerings.
Ivelisse Melendez – Sales Operations Coordinator
Ivelisse serves as the Sales Operations Coordinator at Prosidio, bringing her background as an otolaryngology medical assistant and organizational skills to streamline sales processes. She meticulously follows up on sales leads, manages customer feedback, and coordinates the sales representative team. Her relentless dedication makes her a key player in Prosidio’s continuous growth.
Wenxiu Huang – International Trade and Risk Management Director
Wenxiu Huang, based in Shanghai, leverages her deep understanding of global commerce and finance, backed by her degrees from Lingnan University and the University of Maryland, in her role as Prosidio’s International Trade and Risk Management Director. She maintains a smooth flow of operations with Prosidio’s international manufacturing partners, optimizing costs and delivering value to the company’s customers. Prior to Prosidio, Wenxiu worked at Kaitai Capital and PwC, enhancing her expertise in risk assessment and internal auditing.
Ruby Tamberino – Senior Strategic Advisor
Ruby is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in technology, strategy, and business development. After graduating from MIT with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Ruby began her career at Microsoft developing applications for Enterprise users. She went on to attain her MBA from Harvard Business School before joining the world of tech, media, and telecom consulting. She has proven her skills in M&A strategy and execution and has co-led the telecom and digital infrastructure practice at PwC. Ruby aims to utilize her knowledge in go-to-market strategy, new market entry, inorganic growth, and corporate finance in her advisory role at Prosidio.
Kirt Kirtland – Senior Strategic Advisor
Kirt is an experienced C.E.O., medical device management professional, and investor. With over 25 years of medical device as well as over 15 years of C.E.O. experience, Kirtland will leverage his strong understanding of the clinical, operational, legal, and financial aspects of growing life science companies. Mr. Kirtland’s expansive medical device management experience includes pivotal roles within the Otolaryngology sector at Stryker Endoscopy. Mr. Kirtland has negotiated acquisitions, served as a board member and observer at portfolio companies as Managing Director at Emergent Medical Partners. Mr. Kirtland received his M.B.A. from Stanford University School of Business and his B.S. in biology from Stanford University. Mr. Kirtland is a Retired Captain in US Navy.
