Primary Clinical Applications

Pediatric otoscopy and endoscopic ear examination with a straight-ahead view. The 110mm length provides adequate working distance for camera attachment and examination while the 2.7mm diameter is suited to small or narrow ear canals.

Clinical Advantages

Provides a clear, direct 0° view of the tympanic membrane and external auditory canal in pediatric patients or adults with narrow canals, with the longer shaft improving handling and stability compared to shorter otoscopes.

Ideal Procedures

Pediatric diagnostic otoscopy; examination of narrow or stenotic ear canals; video otoscopy and documentation; endoscopic examination of the ear canal and tympanic membrane.

Special Considerations

The 0° view limits assessment of middle ear structures hidden behind an intact tympanic membrane (angled scopes or a perforation are required for those areas). Primarily used for diagnostic assessment in small ears.
