Primary Clinical Applications

Provides angled views in pediatric nasal endoscopy. Essential for examining the middle meatus, adenoids, and sinus drainage pathways in infants and young children. Also valuable in adults with extreme stenosis.

Clinical Advantages

Allows visualization around structures in very small nasal cavities. Can access regions that would be impossible to view with larger scopes in pediatric patients.

Ideal Procedures

Comprehensive pediatric nasal endoscopy; adenoid assessment; evaluation of congenital abnormalities like choanal atresia; examination of the middle meatus in infants; nasal endoscopy in patients with severe stenosis or hypersensitivity.

Special Considerations

Combines the challenges of reduced brightness with the need for angle orientation. Requires gentle handling and bright illumination. Despite these challenges, often the only option for thorough endoscopy in very young patients.
