Specialized scope for examining the most hidden recesses of the middle ear. Used to inspect areas like the deep sinus tympani that even 45° scopes cannot fully visualize.

Provides views of the most inaccessible regions in the middle ear, crucial for complete cholesteatoma removal and thorough disease assessment. May eliminate the need for more invasive approaches to visualization.

Complex cholesteatoma cases; inspection of deep middle ear recesses; verification of complete disease removal; revision ear surgery where disease may hide in extreme angles.

Special Considerations

Very challenging to orient in the confined ear canal space. Used primarily for inspection rather than working view due to the extreme angle. Reserved for specific checking tasks after completing most work with lesser-angled scopes.
