Primary Clinical Applications

Provides a panoramic 0° view with a 90° field of view (50% wider than standard). Excellent for initial nasal cavity surveys, teaching scenarios, and comprehensive examination with minimal scope movement.

Clinical Advantages

Captures approximately 30% more visual field than standard scopes, allowing visualization of both the target area and surrounding anatomy simultaneously. Reduces the need for frequent scope repositioning.

Ideal Procedures

Initial cavity assessment during FESS; teaching cases where trainees need to see broader anatomical context; comprehensive nasal endoscopy; postoperative debridements where seeing the entire cavity is beneficial.

Special Considerations

The wider field slightly reduces the apparent size of structures (they appear smaller) and may introduce minimal distortion at the periphery. The trade-off between wide field and magnification is generally worthwhile for survey and teaching purposes.
