Primary Clinical Applications

Combines a moderate 45° viewing angle with a wide 90° field of view. Useful for surgeons who prefer the 45° angle for frontal and sphenoid work but want enhanced peripheral vision.

Clinical Advantages

When angled into areas like the frontal recess, can show both the medial and lateral aspects simultaneously. Provides improved situational awareness during angled viewing.

Ideal Procedures

Frontal recess surgery where seeing both lateral walls is helpful; complex ethmoid procedures; sphenoid surgery with a desire to visualize multiple walls at once.

Special Considerations

Less commonly used than wide-angle 0° or 30° scopes, but valuable for surgeons who regularly employ 45° scopes in their practice. The wider field can partially compensate for the limitations of a 45° vs. 70° view by showing more of the peripheral scene.
