Primary Clinical Applications

Specialized scope for examining the adult anterior commissure and proximal subglottis in the operating room. The 90° angle provides direct views of these challenging areas. Deeper tracheal examination requires bronchoscopy.

Clinical Advantages

The steeper angle allows superior visualization of the anterior commissure and proximal subglottic region. The 8mm diameter ensures excellent illumination and image quality.

Ideal Procedures

Detailed examination of the anterior commissure under anesthesia; assessment of proximal subglottic pathology; examination of hypopharyngeal structures; specialized diagnostic challenges.

Special Considerations

Used less frequently than 70° scopes but valuable for specific surgical scenarios. The 90° perspective can reveal pathology that might be missed with standard angles. Tracheal lesions require bronchoscopy.
